i’ve always thought that Dumbork is a boy. when we visited the vet, he said that Dumbork is actually a girl. he based it from the curvature of the plastron. the female plastron is flat, while the male plastron is slightly curved, for easier mounting (during mating). now, i have to always correct myself whenever i’m referring to him, err, her.
i learned that all turtles (and all turtle keepers) are female, unless proven otherwise. i’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
